Star Pet Travel offer a selection of crates to suit your pets. Because you pay for the space the crate take up on the aircraft sizing of the crate effects the freight charges.
MAF and Airlines have strict guidelines on the suitability of cages to size of pets and we will not compromise the pets safelty by using a crate that is too small. I will happily visit your home and measure your pets to ensure we select the correct travelling crate.
PLYWOOD CRATES
Made to measure to strict IATA specifications. Complete with drinking dish and funnel to allow water to be given in transit. Often plywood crates are the most economical option but some airlines will only allow plastic crates.. As you pay for the volumn of a crate on an International flight having a crate designed to specific measuments is important. Our builder will make a crate specific to your dogs size.
PLASTIC CRATES
From a small cat to a Labrador we will usually be able to locate a plastic crate to suit your pet. Plastic crates can be more expensive but will last for many years and subsequent journeys. Because they are lighter they are a more economical option for domestic travel where you pay by weight not volumn. They unscrew for easy storage.
INTERNATIONAL PET TRAVEL
For International travel it is uneconomical to hire crates but we often source crates that can be recycled to reduce costs.
When travelling Internationally we will supply a crate prior to departure so your pet can become used to the confined space.
